And the Winners are…

Our very own Jen Knox and Nicole Totty competed in a chef competition last night at Rose’s Daughter restaurant in downtown Delray and came out of the event victorious!!!

The two battled a team from Driftwood in Boynton lead by their talented Sous Chef Tommy. It was a hotly contested battle but in the end Team Warren left victorious!!

In other news, our esteemed GM Iggy and whiskey consigliere Mr. Brian Freed headed back to Kentucky to purchase one more Warren barrel before the year ends! Last month yours truly and the team picked out barrels from Buffalo Trace, Barton and Peerless. (Colonel Taylor Single Barrel, Blanton’s, Buffalo Trace, 1792 BIB and Peerless Straight Bourbon).

This weeks new barrel comes from Four Roses Distillery!!!

More details on this when the boys get back!

Cheers!

Happy Birthday, Warren!!!

This week it’s time to celebrate the man whose name represents and embodies the spirit of our beautiful new restaurant: Uncle Warren!

Warren is the uncle to Jeff and Jared and taught each so much about great food, fine dining, fine wine and exceptional spirits!

Sadly, Warren passed way too soon but his impact and memory live on at the place we work which bears his name! Dedicating our new restaurant was a fitting tribute from his nephews and his spirit and influence live on in this space!

This weekend we celebrate Warren’s birthday with a series of events that will run from November 4 through November 7! Many of Warren’s friends and family will be flying in from Chicago and around the country this weekend to celebrate and check out the restaurant for the first time!!

We hope you can join us and raise a toast to our namesake!

I think Uncle Warren would be happy that you did!

Cheers!

Tequila Time!!

Last night Warren co-hosted an amazing tequila pairing dinner with Codigo’s own regional and fabulous rep, Gail Conde!!

The dinner featured five different expressions of this amazing spirit with cuisine paired by our fabulous Chef Jen and her culinary team!

Yes, we love our whiskey but we feature many other fine spirits at Warren including this incredible line of tequila!

We even have their extremely limited 12 and 13 year releases. Trust me, this is some of the best tequila you’ve ever tasted.

My personal favorite? The Codigo Origen. (Pronounced Or-a-hin).

I don’t think I’ve ever tasted better tequila in my life. Seriously.

Stay tuned for more great events coming soon at your fave new place!

Saturday night we will be celebrating Halloween with a face painter in the house and plenty of crew in costume! Fun!

Cheers!

Today’s the day!

Our good friend, the one and only Benjamin Boice, is bringing the juice to Warren Delray this afternoon for an amazing sampling of one of our favorites: The Dalmore Single Malt Scotch!

I’ve hosted dinners with Ben in the past and he is definitely one of the most passionate and knowledgeable ambassadors in the Single Malt world!

There are still a couple of seats available for this special event that happens today from 4-6pm! Call the front desk and reserve your spot asap!

Our friend Gail Conde, ambassador for Codigo tequila, is making her way through Jalisco at this moment but she’s really just doing R&D for our upcoming Codigo dinner on 10/24 at Warren!

Gail is one of the most fun and knowledgeable tequila ambassadors and you don’t want to miss her dinner at Warren! Guaranteed to be fun and educational!

I’m back from my Texas trip and will be behind the Warren bar tonight!

See you all then!

Cheers!

Barrels And More Barrels!!!!!

I put five exclamation points after barrels because that’s how many new ones are coming to Warren soon!

Our recent trip to Kentucky netted us our own Damn Good Hospitality barrel picks from Buffalo Trace, Barton Distillery and Peerless!

Our selections were EH Taylor Single Barrel, Buffalo Trace, Blanton’s, 1792 Bottled in Bond and a special bourbon from our friends at Peerless!

Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the Kentucky hospitality! Seems like every person I ran into was in a great mood there! I’m sure it had to do with even the hotel clerks having a little nip of bourbon next to them at all times!

Cheers!

Kentucky Blue Grass

Another wild week out West at Warren is in the books and Bourbon Heritage Month rolls on this week featuring one of my absolute favorite distilleries: Michter’s! ( And please, it’s pronounced like “Mickters” not “Mishters!” Lol.)

I’ll be flying in to Kentucky tomorrow to meet the boys and a few of our lucky cocktail club members to tour the famous Barton Distillery in Bardstown!!

1792 is one of the best bourbons I’ve ever drank and I cannot wait to meet the master distiller and taste from some of their barrels. We won’t be leaving the distillery until we’ve bought one!!

The partners will be moving on to several other distilleries and adding to our already robust 17 Damn Good Hospitality Barrel Picks.

Check back later in the week as I’ll be posting pics from the Kentucky trip as well as updates on our selections!

Cheers, Mates!!

Bourbon Heritage Month Celebration at Warren!!

National (Kentucky) Bourbon Heritage Week kicked off September 1 and we started celebrating some of our favorite bourbon distillers with the famous Willet Distillery.

Yep! All the vintage bourbon and ryes (going up to the 22 year!) were on display and our flight of the week featured the Willet Pot Still, Rowan’s Creek, Johnny Drum and Pure Kentucky XO 107. (The latter featured in all of our craft, house, Old Fashioneds!!

Tomorrow starts a new week and we will be featuring one of our all-time favorites; Heaven Hill Distillery!! Rumor has it that the amazing Michelle Shaw might make an appearance and hand our guests some free samples!

Here’s a nice nugget: Did you know that out of our 1000 bottles of whiskey that nearly 600 are bourbons? That’s tough to top anywhere!

Stay tuned for some exciting news as we head back to Kentucky later this month to taste and buy some new barrels!

Hey, did I forget to mention we just secured two bottles of the much anticipated, infamous Colonel EH Taylor Warehouse “C?”!!! Yes!!!

Cheers!

Mr. Patterson Does It Again!

Another wild week at Warren was highlighted by a new addition and very special arrival: The Dalmore 35 Year Single Malt!

This very special release is housed in Baccarat crystal and was aged in three different barrels: ex-bourbon, Matusalem Sherry and Colheita Port!

It is a very rich, full-bodied Highland single malt with zero smoke and moderate sweetness. Notes of raisins, orange zest, bananas, chestnuts and coffee are all present and make this one very special scotch.

Rumor has it that the Dalmore 40 year is also on the way to Warren! Are you kidding! We’re not! It’s what we do! All the best for our whiskey loving guests!!

Cheers!!
