It’s been a busy week with new arrivals almost daily but the big news is the Four Roses OESV Damn Good Barrel Pick is in the house!
If you’ve had our original pick, the OBSF, you will find this one considerably different in style than our first.
This new pick is a 121.22 proof that features the low rye mashbill and the dried fruit yeast strain. Unlike our first barrel, which was big, spicy and only lightly sweet, this new barrel is full of caramel and bold fruit flavors with just a hint of spice!
The beauty of the FRSB is that there are ten different flavor profiles depending on the combination of mashbill and yeast strain. This particular barrel, however, was a unanimous pick by Iggy, Jeff, Brian and our WCC team!
We’ve also secured two of the most amazing bourbons I’ve tasted in the last year; The Barrel Craft Spirits Gold and the BC Seagreass 16 Year!
These two releases continue Barrel Craft’s incredible run of simply exceptional blends. The Gold is a combination of 4 different barrels: 2 from KY, I from MGP and a fourth barrel from Tennessee. The minimum age is 14 years and two of the barrels were placed and finished in toasted barrels! This stuff is incredibly deep, rich and flavorful!
The Seagrass has been one of Barrel’s hottest releases in years and this is the rare, limited edition, extra aged version! Hard to find but worth the wait! There is a reason there is so much buzz about these two!
